Use of Agri-Food Composts in Almond Organic Production: Effects on Soil and Fruit Quality

The objective of this work was to study the agronomic effects application agri-food composts in almond trees (Prunus dulcis L.) cultivated two different areas with varieties (cv. Guara and cv. Ferraduel), both organic farming conditions throughout cropping cycles. To reach objective, production quality issues (seed production, kernel yield, nutrient contents quality), as well several physico-chemical biological properties amended soils at beginning end each campaign were studied. four used (C1, C2, C3 C4) elaborated mainly using exhausted grape marc (EGM) other wastes (waste from orange juice OW; waste tomato soup TW; cattle manure, CM; sheep SM). Two treatments control treatments, one based on manure another without any amendment. produced similar results yield compared traditional treatment (sheep manure). However, thickness higher or waste. In relation quality, few differences related effect observed, except for content proteins, sucrose, some fatty acids vegetal sterols.
